Rated 8.0 in 1,651 reviews. Curtained bunks.
C·Budget option

This hostel is a functional choice for budget-conscious travellers prioritising location over premium facilities, suitable for short stays in Singapore's city centre.

BEAT. Capsule Hostel @ Boat Quay offers a straightforward hostel experience in a prime Singapore location. Guests sleep in open bunk-style pods with privacy curtains, which are generally found to be comfortable and clean, each equipped with power outlets. While the location receives consistent praise for its proximity to attractions, dining, and public transport, the shared bathrooms are frequently noted as small and occasionally lacking in cleanliness or proper door locks. Noise from fellow guests and pipes can be an issue, and staff availability is not always consistent. Luggage storage is provided via lockers and under-bed space, suitable for smaller bags.

Noise & sleep

Snoring, doors, how much you actually hear
5.0mixed

Noise from fellow guests and even pipes is a recurring issue, indicating limited sound isolation despite the privacy curtains.

There was a disturbing noise coming from the pipes in my room and I barely slept.

Our roommates were sometimes loud until 1 a.m.

complaintAustriaMar 2026

people staying below us seemed to be nocturnal and having a very interesting and loud discussion from 1am-6am so we got no sleep, Not that this is the hostels fault.

Value for money

What you get for the price

Value for money is mixed; some guests find it reasonable for Singapore, while others feel it's expensive for the facilities provided, particularly given the small cubicles.

Expensive for what you get, really far from the light show and artscience museum.
