C Place - Capsule A

Rated 9.4 in 55 reviews. Enclosed pods.
B·Solid pick

This property is a strong choice for budget-conscious solo travellers and those needing convenient access to Mall of Asia or the airport, offering a clean and private capsule stay within a shared apartment setting.

C Place - Capsule A offers a unique capsule accommodation experience within a converted mono-ambient apartment in Manila. Guests sleep in enclosed, cozy capsule beds, which are generally considered private enough, though some find them narrow. The property consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, with staff ensuring a spotless environment and providing hygiene essentials. While the shared bathrooms are well-equipped with hot and cold showers, occasional issues with hot water have been reported. The location is a significant advantage, being very close to Mall of Asia and Ninoy Aquino International Airport, surrounded by shops and restaurants. The property provides good Wi-Fi and shared spaces suitable for remote work. Staff are largely described as accommodating and friendly, though one guest noted a lack of contact for assistance. The atmosphere is more akin to a shared apartment than a bustling hostel, making it less ideal for those seeking a highly social environment. Overall, it offers excellent value for money.

Pod comfort

Mattress, space, light, in-pod amenities
6.0good

Pods are described as cozy but narrow, potentially uncomfortable for larger guests, and the bedding is considered tolerable rather than luxurious. The overall space within the apartment can feel tight if fully occupied.

The space is very small and luckily I had it to myself or I’m not sure how 4 people would manage.

Capsules and thus beds are very narrow, bucky people will probably have a hard time

The beddings, it's a little bit uncomfortable, but tolerable for the price.

Privacy

Curtain vs door, lockers, feeling exposed
7.0strong

Guests generally feel the capsule beds offer sufficient privacy within the shared dorm setup. However, one review noted a hidden camera, raising a privacy concern.

I was scared at first because it was my first time staying at a mixed dorm situation but the staff made me feel safe and the capsule/beds were private enough.

praisePHOct 2024

There is a hidden camera on the light bulb. Security camera is okay when displayed but not hidden. Or at least disclose the hidden camera upon check in.

Staff & check-in

Front desk, house rules, helpfulness
8.0very strong

The staff, including Lisa, Chris, and Clarence, are consistently praised for being accommodating, friendly, helpful, and responsive. However, one guest reported an issue with lack of staff availability for assistance with hot water.

I couldn’t get the hot water in the shower to work and had no one to help me so had cold showers for 3 days. There is no check in or anyone to contact when you need help with something so I’m not sure why the other reviews say staff were great to deal with.

Atmosphere

Social or silent — the vibe of the place
6.0good

The property is described as a mono-ambient flat converted into a capsule hostel, rather than a traditional hostel. While some guests enjoyed meeting others, it's not ideal for those seeking a highly social hostel atmosphere due to its compact size when full.

I’m not sure how 4 people would manage.

complaintCAApr 2026

love meeting people who stay here too, always a fun time listening to people's stories.

praisePHMar 2026

it's not a hostel. It's a monoambient flat (Airbnb style) converted into a hostel where a 4-bed dorm is mounted. It's capsule style.
