B·Solid pick

A well-rounded capsule hotel ideal for male solo travellers seeking a central base with excellent onsen and sauna facilities in Sapporo.

The Centurion Sauna Rest & Stay Sapporo offers a comprehensive capsule experience tailored for male guests, combining compact sleeping arrangements with extensive wellness facilities. Guests can choose between curtained personal rooms or more spacious deluxe cabins, some equipped with a work table. The property is particularly noted for its impressive onsen and sauna, providing a relaxing retreat after exploring the city. While the sleeping pods are generally quiet, some guests have noted that bedding comfort can vary. The multi-story complex includes a restaurant, gym, and various common areas, fostering a balance between quiet relaxation and social interaction. Its central location in Susukino is a significant advantage, placing guests within easy reach of Sapporo's main attractions and transport links.

Cleanliness is a consistent strong point, with both common areas and bathing facilities maintained to a high standard. Staff are frequently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, including assistance for foreign visitors. Although the large scale of the property can sometimes lead to an impersonal feel, the overall value for money is considered good, especially for those who appreciate the on-site amenities. The main inconveniences include the need to use elevators for showers on different floors and limited post-checkout luggage storage.

Luggage storage options vary, with some cabins offering private lockers. General locker areas are described as 'big enough' but can be narrow. A common complaint is the inability to store bags after check-out.

The locker area is quite narrow and located in the middle of a hallway.

Usual niggle about not being able to store bags after you've checked out - but that appears to be a Japan thing.

Wifi & working

Speed, desks, plugs
7.0strong

The property offers dedicated working areas and some deluxe cabins include a table for work. However, one guest noted an issue with e-cigarette smoke in shared working spaces, suggesting a need for smoke-free zones.

I had to work while I was there but unfortunately there was no place I could be that was free of the smoke of electric cigarettes. For non-smokers this is very annoying, especially in small closed spaces. I suggest having at least one clean place for this. Like in the 3rd floor, for example, which already have a nice coworking space.

Social or silent — the vibe of the place
7.0strong

The property offers a range of common areas including a restaurant, resting areas, and a gym, allowing for both quiet relaxation and social interaction. While some appreciate the extensive facilities, others found the large scale and high throughput of guests made the experience feel impersonal.

If you want a quiet area, they have. If you wanna see people u can join in common areas like the dining area.

praisePHMay 2026

The bath, the facilities, the cafeteria/restaurant, the rest room, the staff and the beds. The hotel is so good that sometimes I even wanted to just stay there instead of exploring the city!
